It’s all a conspiracy! The Seven of Cups has so much symbolism you can get steeped in the lore. Melissa sees this card as your wishes and where you can go with what you want. There’s an aspect of whimsy and dream-like quality. Hilary calls this the idea-rrhea card. Too many choices. Jaymi sees this card as the window shopping card where you need to choose what you want wisely. Do you take one of the cups of the deadly sins, or do you move on to get what aligns to your path?

The Cardslingers discuss their views of the Seven of Wands. There’s movement, chaos, and hard stances shown in the Smith Waite deck. Melissa’s view is that this is a bad intentions card, not a good position and shows an untrustworthy situation. Hilary says it’s about defending your turf, and standing your ground. Jaymi believes that there is a cause for why you feel so defensive and need to stand your ground. Viewer Nat says, “In the Peculiar Pathways Tarot (out of print) by Lennox Rees, the Seven of Wands is depicted by a squirrel on top of a ladder holding a bone and a dog jumping and barking up the ladder.”
Homework: Find a cause to defend, doesn’t have to be a monetary donation, it can be a small action.

There’s so much going on with the number seven, both in general and in tarot’s structure and mythology.
Across history, and in many cultures there’s so many associations with the number seven. There are seven days of the week. Seven continents with seven seas. Seven colors of a rainbow. Seven major stars in the big dipper. Seven deadly sins and virtues. Seven notes in a major/minor scale. Seven chakras. Seven wonders of the ancient and natural world. Seven metals of antiquity.
In tarot, seven has a mixed reception. Melissa’s represents the sevens as conflict, and impatience. You don’t get what you want, yet. You still need to put in the work and wait for it to manifest.
Homework: Look up what seven means to you. Compare and contrast all 7s with one another to what we’ve said.

Diving into the Six of Swords today. A card of transitions from roughness to calmness. A welcome respite from the horrors of the world and the internal struggles. Jaymi was once told it represented science and technology
Melissa sees all this as being able to do whatever it takes to get secure and safe, as it ties into both of what Jaymi and Hilary says. Leave that job for better ones, take a vacation, and get out of the situation you are in.
Homework: Think about where you are at, and how you can move yourself into a better secure state of being. Ask for help when you need it.

Today, the cardslingers discuss the Six of Wands. And, as tradition dictates, Melissa, Jaymi, and Hilary all have their favorites. RWS is all about celebration and successes. The image is a figure on a horse who has gone and done the thing. They have come back and are being celebrated for whatever it is they did. Jaymi chose two, of course, The Triple Goddess Tarot shows a mother and two kiddos being celebrated for growth. In reflection, Jaymi thinks this card could’ve been born out of her desire to have been celebrated for who she was. And now she’s able to celebrate her inner child. Hilary’s The Wild Unknown Tarot shows a more modern interpretation of leadership and victory, rising above energy that triumphs. It’s a more natural scene, without people. Freedom that success can bring. And Melissa’s Sacred Sisterhood Tarot shows a ballerina holding a laurel. Doing a pointe as a ballerina is like the epitome of their practice. This is the excitement, the top shape. Every job has a pinnacle, and we can all reach ours.
Finding the little things throughout our day will help us get through the hard times. Find moments of celebration and give yourself a pat on the back. Be kind with the definition of victory; anything can be a moment of victory. Every achievement of a task well-completed is a step in the right direction to who you make. Tiny steps are celebratory.
Homework: Find the small moments in your life and really celebrate that action.
